Deleted consultation codes for 2010

Hello all. I am new to the forum so please forgive me if I screw up. I have reviewed portions of the new Final Rule for 2010 that includes deletion of follow up consultation codes, but I am hearing the AMA does not agree with this. Is that why they are still listed in the 2010 CPt code book? I also understand this is a CMS change and that not carriers are following? I need some guidance on this one. Thanks all, Stephanie
